Almost six months ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the original soccer World Cup Trophy arrived in India for a three-day tour on Sunday in New Delhi. The FIFA World Cup Trophy has come to India after a gap of almost 12 years as part of its world tour. The trophy was unveiled in a ceremony with the presence of former World Cup winner Gilberto D’Silva of Brazil and Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya. Besides Delhi, where it is scheduled to be for two days, the trophy is also scheduled to visit Guwahati in Assam. Published on Jan 11, 2026
